What This Assembly Is
Every magic trick with numbers in it is math that happens to have an audience.
Children who have decided they are bad at math are usually not bad at it. They have decided it is not for them, which is a different problem and a much harder one, because it is settled long before the work gets difficult.
This show gets underneath that. A prediction that could not possibly work, that does. A number somebody chose freely, sitting in a sealed envelope. Every one of them is a pattern doing the work, and when a child sees the pattern they have done real mathematics without once being asked to.
Nobody is put on the spot and nobody has to be right in front of the school. That matters enormously in this subject, because the children this show is for are exactly the ones who have learned to keep their hand down.

How It Works In Your Building
Almost nothing is asked of you
Every assembly runs the same way. This is the part that usually decides whether a principal says yes, so here it is plainly.
Your whole school at once
One class or the entire student body. Larger schools split into two shows back to back so every child gets a good view rather than squinting from the back.
A room and one outlet
A gym, cafeteria, stage or multipurpose room, one standard electrical outlet, and about thirty minutes to get in early. That is the whole list.
No staff, no equipment
Nobody on your team has to run anything, carry anything or stay late. I set up, I perform, I clear out.
I bring my own sound
Professional sound system and microphone. In an echoing gym this is the thing that decides whether the back three rows hear a word, and it is where most performers come unstuck.
Pitched at the room
Built for elementary and adjusted on the day for the ages actually in front of me. A room of kindergarteners and a room of sixth graders want completely different things.
